Doo-Bop Jazz Bar came to One Alliance with a vision that was inspired by New York’s jazz clubs for a late-night jazz bar in the Brisbane CBD. In all aspects, this vision has been realised through One Alliance’s consultative design process which has ensured the original vision for the bar was realised for its full potential.

One Alliance’s design process with the project was very hands on. The nature of the inspiration and what Doo-Bop Jazz Bar wanted to achieve required a high touch process. Throughout the project design process, the team at Doo-Bop Jazz Bar enjoyed working closely with One Alliance in seeing their vision come through from One Alliance’s work.

In every aspect, the design exhibits the original inspiration for the venue. Being heavily inspired by New York’s jazz club, the Village Vanguard, the venue’s inspiration shines through. From the un-rendered brickwork through to the joinery in the bar, the textiles used for the furnishings, and the tone of the reds and greens that feature in the basement give Doo-Bop Jazz Bar that quintessential New York feeling.

Upstairs in the Piano Bar, Brisbane’s art deco style shines through with soft paintwork and copper aesthetics which gives the space a refreshing tone – perfect for an after-work drink.

“One Alliance Project Consulting have assisted us with delivering a number of Yum Cha Restaurants now. Their clever designs successfully combine features from our previous stores with new ideas for each site so that our customers experience is consistent yet special for each restaurant.

One Alliance were very helpful with planning a highly efficient space for our staff and selecting the finishes that would stand up to our Yum Cha Cart food style.

The space at Garden City is very harmonious with our food offer and flexible to allow us to cater for individuals, small groups, large functions and even weddings.”

“This project started out as an inkling of an idea for a late night underground supper club.

One Alliance Project Consulting has nurtured that idea into the final ‘Farrier’ themed bar, bringing a unique personality to the space that has complimented and enhanced the original use of the space as a horse stable. The unique finishes, furniture, artwork, brand and the entire concept work together seamlessly.

The One Alliance Project Consulting team has done an exceptional job on Farrier, from our very early concept ideas right through to working with JBM Projects on the final construction of the space.”

“The refurbishment of the Queens Arms Hotel has not only provided a new look for the hotel but has also increased the patronage of the bar.  The difference in efficiency of the bar is remarkable and all our staff and regular patrons are extremely happy with the changes. As the Queens Arms Hotel is a heritage listed hotel, the challenges that were presented to the One Alliance Project Consulting team were dealt with effectively and professionally without any design intent being sacrificed.  I could not be happier with the end result.”
